The registration process for youth internships will soon be launched by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs. The dates for the start of round two have not yet been disclosed by the government. However, before the second round of internships begins, here are some of the commonly asked issues that applicants need to be aware of before submitting an application for an internship under the program.

Eligible candidates will have the opportunity to apply for internships in various roles across multiple sectors. These sectors include:

– IT and Software Development

– Banking and Financial Services

– Oil, Gas, and Energy

– Metals and Mining

– FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods)

– Telecom

– Infrastructure and Construction

– Retail and Consumer Durables

– Cement and Building Materials

– Automotive

– Pharmaceutical

– Aviation and Defence

– Manufacturing and Industrial

– Chemical

– Media, Entertainment, and Education

– Agriculture and Allied Services

– Consulting Services

– Textile Manufacturing

– Gems and Jewellery

– Travel and Hospitality

– Healthcare

Candidates between the ages of 21 and 24 who are not now engaged in any full-time educational program or work are the program's target audience.

A diploma or degree such as a BA, B.Sc., B.Com., BCA, BBA, B.Pharma, etc., or at least a secondary education (Class 10 pass) or higher secondary education (Class 12 pass) should be obtained by the candidate.whether the applicant is less than 21 or older than 24 on the application deadline.

-Whether the candidate is presently enrolled in full-time classes or working full-time; -Whether they have earned degrees from particular universities like as IITs, IIMs, National Law Universities, IISER, NIDs, or IIITs.

-If they possess credentials like a master's or higher degree, such as a CA, CMA, CS, MBBS, BDS, MBA, or PhD.

-They are participating in any training, apprenticeship, internship, or skill program offered by the federal or state governments.whether they have previously finished an apprenticeship through the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) or the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS).
–if any family member's income for FY 2023–2024 over Rs 8 lakh, whether they are the spouse, parents, or themselves. 

-If any family member—spouse, parents, or oneself—works for the government regularly or permanently (contractual employees excluded). 
–The PM Internship Scheme does not accept applications from foreign applicants. 
Although the government has not disclosed a start date, media reports indicate that round two is expected to begin on August 1.

Although there are no official requirements for internship reservations, the shortlisting process places a strong emphasis on diversity and inclusiveness, enabling employers to choose applicants according to their own standards. The portal guarantees that applicants for internships 
come from a variety of backgrounds. 
Each intern will get a stipend of Rs 5,000 per month for the full 12-month program after starting the internship. Based on the intern's attendance and the company's policies, partner companies will distribute Rs 500 each month.
The government will use the Direct Benefit Transfer mechanism to send Rs 4,500 straight to the intern's Aadhaar-linked bank account after the firm has made the payment.
