Delhi School Admissions 2025-26

The second round of online admissions for the 2025–2026 school year has been issued by the Delhi-based Directorate of Education. Registration for this cycle, which covers classes in government and government-aided special schools from Nursery to Class 12, will open on June 20 at 5 p.m. and finish on July 5 at 5 p.m. The registration forms are available on the department's official website for interested parents and guardians.

According to the most recent circular, which was released on Thursday, candidates are urged to check the availability of seats by class prior to submitting their applications. After speaking with their present school, students who are currently enrolled in government or assisted institutions and want to apply for re-admission or transfer must do so via the same online platform.

Parents must visit their individual schools during school hours from July 7 to July 10 after registering in order to turn in the needed paperwork for validation. 
A draw of lots will be held at each school on July 11 at 11 a.m., in front of parents and school officials, if there are more applications than there are seats available. On July 16, the final list of chosen pupils will be posted to the department's website after being delivered to the Inclusive Education Branch (IEB) by July 14.

By July 18, the official admissions procedure for the chosen applicants will be over. Between July 19 and July 21, waiting list students can be given consideration for any open positions.
