The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued a notification concerning irregularities in the photograph of the candidate appearing in the CUET (UG) 2026 exam.

It has been announced that the CUET (UG) 2026 examination would take place from May 11, 2026, to May 31, 2026. During the correction period from February 23 to 26, 2026, applications were made from January 3 to February 4, 2026.

In other cases, where the live photo taken during the application process differed from those on UIDAI's official record, the NTA noted that some applicants provided proof of identity other than the Aadhaar card.

In order to sort out this problem, the concerned candidates have been given a chance to verify their identities.

They should provide a recent passport-sized photo along with a duly signed and attested certificate. It should be attested by either the Principal or Headmaster of the institution they attend or any Class I Gazetted officer like Tehsildar, SDM or District Magistrate. The certification from an Indian Embassy officer can also be accepted for NRIs.

During April 7 to April 10, 2026, candidates are required to upload this certificate in PDF format using a link sent to their registered email address. They also need to carry a printout of the certificate on the test day itself.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has asked applicants to get in touch with its support line and visit its website regularly for information updates.

In addition to giving the applicants a chance to rectify their mistakes without disqualifying them from sitting in CUET (UG) 2026, this step will also help ensure that the test is held in a safe environment.
