NIFT 2026 Registration

The textiles ministry announced that the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) has pushed back the date of application submission via the online method to January 13. The admission applications can be submitted at nift.ac.in. 

For the academic year 2026–2027, NIFT has initiated the round of entrance exams for the various undergraduate and postgraduate program areas like fashion design, management, and technology, etc., along with reduction in their fees.
“The NIFT has decided to prolong the deadline for the submission of applications till January 13, 2026, allowing the extension of the late fee from January 14 to January 16," the statement added. "This action is primarily intended to grant the opportunity of the reduced fee to the largest number of candidates possible." 

On February 8, the National Testing Agency (NTA) will manage the Computer-Based Test (CBT) and pen-and-paper entrance exam in 102 venues across the country as one of the consequences of the New Year’s opening of the NTA testing centers. 

For the 2026–2027 batch, application fees for general, OBC (NCL), and Open-EWS category candidates have been reduced from Rs 3,000 to Rs 2,000, while SC, ST, and PwD candidates have seen their fees lowered from Rs 1,500 to Rs 500.
