The National Testing Agency (NTA) decided to hold the examination on June 21 after cancelling the exam scheduled to take place on May 3, citing an alleged paper leak. Candidates can expect the NTA to release admit cards about four to five days before the examination is held since the date of the exam has been released officially.
It is important to mention here that the National Testing Agency (NTA) has already announced that students will not need to pay any additional fees to appear in the exam. In other words, students who had enrolled for the examination on May 3 will get another chance on June 21 at no extra cost.
It should be noted that the NTA has already announced that students will not have to pay any additional amount if they wish to appear in the NEET UG 2026 examination again. Those students who appeared for the test on May 3 will get the opportunity to attempt the same test again on June 21 without paying anything extra.
"Considering inputs evaluated subsequently by NTA in coordination with Central Agencies and investigation findings provided by Law Enforcement Agencies, NTA, in consultation with Government of India, has taken a decision to cancel NEET (UG) 2026 examination held on May 3, 2026, to ensure transparency in the process," NTA informed in the statement.
