LPU Nepal support: Lovely Professional University (LPU) comes forth in aid of its Nepalese students and their families in the wake of tough times that have been occurring in Nepal. The University management has interacted directly with Nepalese students, understood their problems and promised them emotional and financial help in this tough time.
Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and Founder Chancellor of LPU, Dr. Ashok Kumar Mittal, Pro Chancellor of LPU, Col. Dr. Rashmi Mittal, and Vice President of LPU, Dr. Aman Mittal were present at the meet and interacted with Nepalese students to know their problems and the problems of their families.
The meeting was held in order to provide students with a sense of reassurance at this time when many of them are concerned about the welfare of their families.
The University management has reassured the students that LPU will continue to stand by their side and offer help wherever necessary. This activity has been undertaken by the University keeping in mind the welfare of its students and ensuring assistance to them during tough times.
LPU NSS Announces Seven-Day Collection Camp
In aid of its humanitarian mission, the NSS of LPU has planned for a seven-day collection camp that would assist people and families affected in Nepal.
The University has made a request for voluntary donations in the form of money by the students, teachers, and other members of the LPU family who are interested in donating for the purpose of the relief mission. The collected money from this campaign will later be utilized for people and families in need.
This collection drive would help the people of the University come together as a team and work for the betterment of the affected people.
Focus on Students' Emotional Well-Being
The program for LPU is not merely about providing funding. According to the University, it is the duty of educational institutions to make sure that students feel safe, listened to and cared for, especially if they go through hard times in their communities.
For Nepalese students enrolled at other universities, events happening back home could exert serious emotional strain on them. By establishing direct communication with students and giving them an opportunity to voice their fears, LPU seeks to enhance feelings of care and community among students.
