Fees Hike in Jamia
...

Tuition rates for a variety of courses at Jamia Millia Islamia have increased by 16% to 41% for the 2025–2026 academic year. Costs have increased significantly when comparing the most recent academic prospectus with the fees from the prior year.
In an effort to draw in more international students and NRI wards, JMI lowered the prices for SAARC nations. Additionally, they have lowered the cost of diploma programs offered by the University Polytechnic to foreign nationals and NRI wards.

The institution has expanded the use of Common institution Entrance Test (CUET) results for admissions and announced 14 new courses in addition to the cost revision. As opposed to 20 programs last year, 25 programs this year—including nine undergraduate, five postgraduate, eight diploma, and three advanced diploma courses—will admit students based on CUET merit.

Bachelor of Science (Hons) Computer Science program, the Design and Innovation Certificate, the Textile Design Certificate, and the Certificate in Self-Financed Evening are the new courses offered at JMI. PG Diploma in Plumbing, Lifts, and Fire Safety (Self-Financed); Self-Financed Evening Certificate in Graphic Art (Print Making); Self-financed MFA (Curatorial Practices), MFA (Art Management), MFA (Conceptual Art Practice), MFA (Graphic Art) (Print Making), Self-financed Certificate (Art & Aesthetics), Self-financed Certificate (Creative Photography), Self-financed Certificate (Calligraphy), and Self-financed Certificate (Art Appreciation & Art Writing).
