DAV Kailash hills Junior Wing Celebrated World Book Day

DAV Kailash hills Junior Wing Celebrated World Book Day on 23rd April in the School Premises with great enthusiasm and excitement. The event was marked with plethora of activities that highlighted the importance of reading books.

A special assembly was conducted featuring inspiring quotes on reading and books. Some of the quotes included:

- Today a reader, Tomorrow a leader 

- A book is a gift we can open again and again.

Movie screening was held in the classes based on famous books, bringing the stories alive on the big screen. Matilda by Roald Dahl for class 3, Gopi diaries for class 2, Heidi for class 1 and Pre Primary and Gingerbread man for Pre school. Students enjoyed watching their favorite characters and stories.

Students participated in an activity worksheet that tested their knowledge of books and authors. The worksheet included Heidi character colouring, Gingerbread man character colouring, identifying character traits from Matilda (Famous book by Roald Dahl), word search exercise (taken from Gopi Diary book by Sudha Murty) which was truly a brain storming session for them.

The celebration aimed to promote Reading and Encourage students to develop a love for reading and foster Imagination and creativity through books.

The World Book Day celebration was a remarkable success, and it provided a valuable opportunity for students to appreciate the joy of reading and learning
