For the academic session 2026-2027, the electronic prospectus for admission to Undergraduate, Postgraduate, PG Diploma, and Advanced Diploma courses have been provided by Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU). As per the official notification, the admissions in Bachelor of Arts (Foreign Language), Bachelor of Science (Ayurvedic Biology), and Certificate of Proficiency Courses will be based on CUET (UG) 2026 scores whereas JEE Main 2026 will be considered for BTech Admission.
The students have to write the CUET (PG) 2026 exam to gain admission to postgraduate courses including MA, MSc, MPH, MTech, PG Diploma, and Advanced Diploma.
As per the university’s information, the GAT-B 2026 results would be used for determining admission to the MSc programs in Biotechnology and Computational Biology. However, for admission into the MTech program offered in CSE and ECE in the School of Engineering, centralized counseling by CCMT would be adopted.
According to the JNU, candidates have been advised to apply separately after the declaration of CUET results and monitor the official website of the university regularly for updates.
Additionally, a timetable for the admission of foreign students has also been provided by the university. The last date for submitting applications for foreign candidates is April 30. The application process will commence from April 1. The duly filled form needs to be emailed or sent to the Section Officer in the Administrative Block of the JNU.
For eligibility criteria for the undergraduate admission process at JNU, candidates should qualify in CUET (UG) 2026. The cut-off list and merit list will be released once the admissions process commences in July.
Admission process after CUET results is comprised of registration to the portal of JNU, counseling, verification of documents, and payment of fees for securing the seat.
Subject-wise cut-off scores will be declared by JNU based on certain factors like the number of applicants and availability of seats.
JNU has advised aspirants to apply separately for admission after the declaration of CUET results and keep checking their website regularly.
